About...

This is my Grandma Annie Patterson whom I named my Soda Saloon after.
Most would think I had named it after Annie Oakley as she had ties to Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show.
St Anne the mother of Mary came to mind as did my mother-in law Annalu.
We all have an "Annie" in our lives........

Who is your Annie?

Annie’s Old Fashioned Soda Saloon is reviving one of Cody’s most historic downtown spaces.

Located across the street from the Irma Hotel on Sheridan Avenue, the former early 20th century physician’s office has been transformed into a western café that honors the pioneer doctor who opened Cody Drug and Jewelry Store in 1904.

“I named Annie’s Soda Saloon after my grandmother,” Annie’s Old Fashioned Soda Saloon owner Jeanette Prosceno said. “But after learning about the history of this storefront, I also wanted to incorporate some of Cody’s past into my restaurant.”

Dr. William Bennett’s slogan for the store was “Bennett Handles the Goods.” He was elected to the town’s school board in 1912 and later served one term as mayor. Now, Annie’s Old Fashioned Soda Saloon honors the former community leader with an ice cream soda on its menu called “Dr. B’s Elixir.”

The soda bar features a menu with classic ice cream sodas and shakes, or customers can come in and create their own concoction. To accompany the wide drink selection, an assortment of pastries, paninis, pies, and soups are available, and the food and ice cream menu specials change seasonally.

The interior has been completely remodeled on the original wood floor, and along with tables for a relaxed atmosphere, customers can sit or stand at one of the two bars custom made from old barn wood.

Annie’s has been reaching out to help the community in as many ways as possible. In December, customers could help families in need by donating through the store’s Christmas Jar program, and this coming summer, a portion of the shop’s Sunday proceeds will go to various charities in Cody.

The space offers a variety of engaging family activities throughout the year, most recently hosting a gingerbread house workshop and a Great Gatsby themed mystery dinner.

If you can’t make it out to one of these events, Annie’s Soda Saloon also features a private room that can be reserved for birthday parties, or party planners can reserve the entire restaurant for larger events and fundraisers.
